Problem Statement

Free and easy local tour booking using ViatJar is a travel application which aims to help the people to find out more about a travelling destination and help plan the trip better.

<aside> 💭 Create a solution for people visiting an unfamiliar city to visit areas of local interest and to shop for gifts to take back home (souvenirs, delicacies, etc.). Come up with innovative ideas to assist in such kind of shopping.

User Research

I was able to interview 4 people to get to know about their experiences while planning a trip online.

I interviewed users from various demographics from ones who are frequent travelers to ones who travel occasionally.

This is what we could infer from the user interviews:

1. Users have specific parameters in mind before they plan a trip.
2. Users prefer to explore on own. Not ready to pay extra for a tour guide instead ask people roaming there locally.
3. Most people look for a free and easy local tour planning so that they can travel as per their convenience.
4. People prefer local cuisine more which they can easily find near the attractions.
